Very good band. I like them a lot. I like a lot of instrumental/shoe-gaze type stuff. However I am also love clips and things interwoven with that type of music. It can get corny and overplayed, well maybe for other people. I will always be a big supporter. Anyway I have a Tumblr now and the original song was too large of a file to post. So I was going to just edit the length to the part I wanted. However I got a little inventive and decided to cut the song in half and add a few little clips I though were appropriate. I think it worked out nice.

This is a tape that I have had for some time. I dated it when I recorded it from the radio so I have had it since December 20th 2004. That is when Dead Again, a Doylestown , PA spazcore/wishtheywereasgoodasCUAD band was featured on WYSP's Loud and Local. Which is a show that features one in studio PA band a month. This happened to be thiers. Fresh off the release of thier first EP on Zero Velocity Records "Bring the Bedroom Mosh". Which is a really good EP BTW. So here is the appearence in full.

I have had this tape for about 16-17 years now. My Mom bought it for a Halloween party my sister had. It is pretty hilarious. This is the first tape I have recorded and it is of significant better quality than the vinyl I have ripped thus far. I have one more tape project to do. So look out for that. Back to this tape. one side has nothign but spooky noises and sounds. The other has mostly the Peter story. I googled to see if the artwork was online and bam I found that someone else had uploaded this tape as well. You can find thiers here.

At 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the 11-year-old woke up when a fan started pushing heavy black smoke into the room where he slept.

He was the only one in his grandma's Roseland two-flat to notice.

Barefoot in a tank top and jogging pants, Adonis went to the kitchen where he saw the ceiling on fire near his bedroom -- billowing black smoke and orange flames that were gnawing a giant hole above the kitchen stove.

The boy remained calm.

"I knew what to do," Adonis said. "A fireman came to our school."

He ran to wake his mother, who told him to get his 2-year-old godsister, Jordan Hobbs, out of the house.

That's what the fireman at school said, too. "Get myself and everybody out. He told us not to grab any stuff," Adonis remembered. "Just get out."

Jordan was sound asleep in her Tinkerbell pajamas. Adonis threw her over his shoulder and carried her out the front door like a firefighter. He set the girl down on the sidewalk, put her hand on the chain link fence and said, "Hold on to this and stay here."

Then, Adonis, a fifth-grader at Gompers Elementary School, ran back into the burning building.

"I went to get my Auntie Karen in her room," he said. "My mom got my brother, he ran upstairs to wake up my grandma. Fire was spreading all over the place."

Adonis ran out of the house and banged on the neighbor's front door until someone answered and called 911.

When firefighters arrived, Adonis and his family were safely huddled together near the sidewalk watching almost everything they owned -- clothes, shoes, family heirlooms, even the computer Adonis was using to help boost his math grades -- burn up.

"Thirty years of life in that home and it was gone in a puff of smoke," Adonis' grandmother, Karen Bell, said. "It's a tragedy, but we can buy a couch or chairs instead of five or six caskets and grave plots."

The fire started after Adonis' sister left the stove on unattended, family members said. Fire spread throughout the wood frame two-flat at 12011 S. Wentworth. The place was completely gutted.

The fire was so hot it melted the vinyl siding on the house next door.

Two firefighters were injured in the blaze. One was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital suffering from heat-related injuries, fire officials said.

Bell owns the house free and clear, but she had let her homeowner's insurance lapse. Now, her seven family members who lived at the Roseland house are staying with one of Bell's daughters in suburban Riverdale.

"I don't know what we're going to do," she said. "But we're alive."

Thanks to her hero grandson.

"Adonis has been a blessing to us," Bell said. "He was able to think rationally when most people, most children, would panic and just run out of the house themselves. He saved our lives. All of our lives."

Adonis says he knows that he's a hero. His family told him so.

I finally got MY shit together and am now going to start ripping my favorite pieces of vinyl to MP3 format. So here is my favorite one I own. All Else Failed's 7" circa 1996. Bridges Hardcore-Emo-Screamo type stuff. You know that screaming shit I'm into. Also you might note that all these songs were re-released on the album "Good Enough Fore the Girls to Roll With" which was a collection of all their previous 7" and 10" releases. However, do note that this version of the track "Pushover" includes the samples that the later version does not.

Imagine all these dumb Peta types outside an Eagles game protesting, after a Loss. Imagine 70,000 pissed off Eagles fans walking out to a bunch of dumb people telling them why their team is wicked and stupid for hiring Mike Vick. Imagine that 20,000 of those fans are drunk and most likely belligerent. These are the most notoriously boisterous, obnoxious, rude,and crude fans in US Sports. They have a courtroom in the stadium for Christ sakes! So protesters, you can go ahead and sit this one out. Vick will be booed in 8 different cities this year. Worry not, people will let him know that they hate him there.

So lets break down this thing a bit further because I have heard A LOT of opinions about this. Mike Vick bank rolled a dog fighting ring and also participated in the torture and murder of helpless dogs. Skerrrt. Helpless? These dogs were bred killers. Vick & his cronies bred these animals to kill one another. So they were not sweet little cute dogs. These were killers. There is another thing. The dogs involved were trained to be this way. It is not as if Vick was stealing innocent dogs and murdering them. Because that is what it seems people don't understand. Yes teh animals are dumb and don't know any better however you now damn well you do not wish to come in contact with a police or junk yard dog. Why? because they are as well trained for killin'. Which btw I am against. But I am also against Police having any advantage other than hand to hand combat training. Also those souped up cars gotta go. 20 Years ago you could out run a cop and get away with it. Not so much anymore. Anyway...I have heard "Michael Vick is not getting a 2nd chance it is his 5th or 6th chance". False, as far as I know he has never spent time in prison for crimes. He has had run ins but was never punished. That is why his behaviors escalated. He thought he was invincible. Then he was caught doing terribly wrong things. He was then tried and sentenced by out elected officials. You know those people who speak for us? So if you think he got off light, tough shit. Make a better selection at the Ballot next year asshole. Vick said he didn't realize what he had done until he went to jail. I understand what he is talking about. Completely. You, probably do not. Now he is out and going to do all he can to right all of the wrong she did. He is working with the Humane Society and helping to stop dog fighting all together. In the end Mike Vick will be the best thing that ever happened to Peta, the Humane Society and the SPCA. Though 2 of the 3 would be too stupid to realize this. People say "he only is remorseful because he got caught and only helps because he has to". How can you be remorseful to begin with when you haven't been caught doing something that at the time you thought was okay. You're thinking "NO DUDE ITS NOT OKAY YOU JACK ASS". I know. Last thing I have to say about this. People are saying he doesn't deserve to play in the NFL because of what he did. But it is simple. The man is a football player. That is what he does. You wouldn't tell a carpenter not to cut wood anymore because he fought dogs would you? NO, that would be stupid. People simply are annoyed because he will make millions of dollars. He won't be getting that $130 million dollar contract that he once had but he will make more than 98% of these protesters. And that pisses a lot of people off. I guess when you go to prison you lose your right to make a living as well. And if you lose that right why not just execute everyone who doers wrong? Because that would be inhumane right? Right.

Yes yes yes I have said many times that this band is one of my favorites. Well....THEY FUCKING RULE. Anyway, I just figured out how to rip audio from internet videos so I have been playing with that. So with that comes a few Live tracks from BVS that I ripped. There are a few different ones of them on youtube but most are shit quality. I also added in the EP that they released in 2001 when they were called Dr. Acula. I have fixed all of the tags. When I first acquired this EP from my buddy Shawn it was all wrong. Sorry to call you out and I know it wasn't your fault. You were too lazy to fix it and honestly I have been too lazy to do so because I have had it for a year and JUST NOW fixed it. Anyway, now its better than ever and I have it for you folks to download. There are some new jams you havent heard on it and mostly old jams that are played slightly different. I love this band and if you don't like them it's because you are a fucking breadstick. Get a pulse zomboyd. Anyway, expect more treats from videos from me.

If you had asked me 5 years ago who my absolute favorite band was I would most definitely said Pearl Jam. Since then I have explored other music. This past week or so I decided to rekindle my love affair for Mookie Blaylock. Good things that have happened since I embarked on this journey. I listened to (a little closer) to "No Code" which is actually a really good record. I had pretty much dismissed it after one listen a long time ago. However, my good buddy Josh insisted for me to check it out again. Definitely glad I did because I found some really good gems on it. So I have put together a little mix of PJ songs I have grown to love. Still getting used to thier 2006 S/T though. here is a ranking of albums..

1. Vitaligy - 1994 - A (This one will always be my favorite)
2. Yield - 1998 - A (So goooood)
3. Riot Act - 2002 - A (This one isn't as appreciated as it should be. Might be my real favorite)
4. VS - 1993 - A (Great songs all over this one)
5. Binaural - 2000 B + (Under-rated and wonderful)
6. No Code - 1996 - B (New favorite)
7. Ten - 1991 - C+ (This one is a moody one for me. The songs are so played out)

The new record comes out in September. Should be awesome. I haven't seen them in concert before. maybe I should do that? Yeah!

I love Donnie Darko. Great frikken movie. Okay, well if you have seen it there is no reason or way there could be a sequel. Right? Wrong. The powers that be had to cash in on DD's popularity and make another one. This one straight to DVD. And it is terrible. A friend told me not to, in fact INSISTED I should not. However i could not help it and found myself hitting the download button last night. Anyway there was so much wrong with this i don't know where to begin. First off the actors were terrible. One guy looked like a Joaquin Phoenix rip off and another a fake ass Donnie Darko. Elizabeth Berkley is the most famous person in this, boy shes a great actress. I think we all remember her great skills in Show Girls. Ugh. The movie takes place in what appears to be the set for the movie U-Turn. You know that Sean Penn/J-Hoe/Billy Bob Thornton and wait ...yeah Joaquin Phoenix movie...It all makes a little more sense. That was Joaquin's stunt double. Just when they stopped filming on that one he must have dozed off and they locked his ass in there till they started on this tragedy. The film was directed by Chris Fisher who you may remember from umm NOTHING. Well checking into it, he did direct that terrible take on Richard Ramirez titled rather aptly "NIGHTSTALKER". God damn this movie sucked. I think I am writing this damn blog so that I feel better about watching it. Even though Shawn warned me. I guess now I have to watch American Psycho 2.

Why did they ever give this city a team? This team sucks and from what I saw Saturday no one in DC gives a shit that the team is even there. The Nats played the Phillies in a day night double header which I was in attendance. There was easily 3 Phila-phans for every Nat fan. That being said there still wasn't many fans there. The stadium was only half full. They opened this park last year so I was a little unimpressed with it. Very plain jane. They did however have a Bens Chili Bowl in there which was awesome. There is a play station zone where you can try out some games for the PS3 for no charge. I saw a big sign stating that there will be Teddy Roosevelt themed bbq place opening soon. I didn't mind being there, especially with the comfort of being with all these Phillie phans there. Lets got Phillies chants were an all day affair. Raul Ibanez ruled the Natz with three homers yesterday. The RA-UUUUUUUUUUUL chants wer eplenty. I heard on Nat fan say "why are they booing him? he is really good". What a toad. There was a rain storm in between the first and second game. That ended just in time for the second game to start on time. The second game got into the 6th inning and it started pouring at our nowhere. There was a delay for a few hours and at 11 the powers that be made the game official for a Phillies win. When the rain started to pour the second time round the field crew had a really rough time getting the tarp on the field. It was really pathetic and a serious "yeah, were the Nats" moment. Poor fucking team. I feel sorry for them. In fact as I'm watching the game that is on right now they Phils are already pounding them again. Back on track, during a rain delay there will always be a few idiots who run on the field and do a slip-n-slide routine on the tarp. It is always hilarious to watch. The best was when they thought they had the field locked down (after the third incident). So the best was the last. This couple slipped on down the stairs hand in hand the guy helping his lady over the wall and they took off. The head of security was on the tarp heading off the guy and this is when the best part happens. Mr Security man is standing perfectly around home plate and the lunatic on the slip-n-slide mission heads right for him and goes into a seriously awesome slide right into the Cop and knocks him down like a bowling pin. It was HILARIOUS. I wonder what the legal reverberations are from a run onto the field.
However I do like these hats....

I went and saw this band this past Sunday. I like them a lot. Live in the flesh is so good. I don't care what you think.Fuck your trends and indie cred. Anway, Doug(the singer) sounded a little defeated about the lack of anyone getting the new record. In fact he had his Thursday moment declaring "hey we don't care if you download our shit for free, we dont make any money off of this anyway". Yeah they made their money touring. In fact I went to Victory records website to see how they were plugging this album. Not one mention on the front page. Weird. Anyway I like the album. 3-4 songs I like very much. Anyone night stand sticks out the most. I am glad they played that the other night.

CRYSTAL LAKE, NJ—Reports of a shadowy figure in the woods and heavy breathing heard in the night, coupled with a recent series of grisly murders, have generated rumors that U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney has returned to terrorize the counselors at Camp Crystal Lake, sources reported Friday.
